Even though he was wet, Diantha still gave him a hug. She needed the comfort now. It was unknown to her why though. Her grin was a little too wide as she said, “It’s so nice to see you!” She looked at him. “Still that Greek God, eh?” Diantha laughed. She had a bag with her. “I have chocolate if you want any. I have Mars bars, Galaxy and Twix. Dibs on the Galaxy though.”
It felt nice to be like this. Even though the two weren’t in their previous state of relationship, at least they weren’t ignoring each other. James had seen some relationships at school that broke down communication altogether after a break up, and he didn’t want his and Diantha’s friendship to come to that. His arms closed around her, pulling her gently to his muscled chest, before letting go. A grin slipped across his lips. “Did you miss me then?” He asked playfully. “Aw, gotta keep up shape, don’t I? To secure my place on the football team.. and the swimming team.” He was clearly smug about it all. James knew he was a picture of perfection for a male: he had the brains and the muscle to join whatever club he wanted, and balance his academics at the same time. Shuffling onto the grass, he smirked up at her. “Twix then? Guilty pleasure.”
